New Brunswick real estate sales prices now available (from January 1, 2009)
As assessments are based on neighbourhood sale prices, property owners can now begin to have direct access to the information that is used to formulate their assessment. This promotes more transparency, especially in the assessment appeals process.
Prices for property sales in New Brunswick that occurred after January 1, 2009 can now be found online by clicking here. Please see the following notes first:
- To access a recent sale price, you will need the civic address of the property you are searching for.
- Please allow at least a month after the sale closing of the property before the price appears online.
Why aren't prices for sales made prior to January 1, 2009 also available?
The legislation that existed prior to January 1, 2009 required us to keep sales prices confidential. This legislation was amended in December of 2008 to allow for this new transparency in publicizing sale prices.
